Case study · Inside Unkillable · Content
Animated explainer videos now cost $1.50 each, and five can be made in a single day.
We publish short, fully animated videos on three channels. Instead of a motion designer, an in-house tool turns an approved script into a voice-over, a storyboard, an animation and a render, and takes feedback down to the second.

AI usage costs per video, measured in October 2026.
Video is the format that works. It is also the slowest to make.
Short videos reach more people than any post. But each one meant a script, a voice-over, animation, editing, and rounds of feedback by message. Our first reel, made with an existing open-source tool, took 17 versions.
We wanted to publish several videos a week, in three different styles, without hiring a studio.
From script to render, with a human check at each step.
We built our own engine. A founder writes or approves the script, and a second, independent model checks every fact. Then the voice, the storyboard, the animation and the render run on their own, on a laptop.
Feedback is given on the timeline, at the second: "change the colour at 0:12". The tool applies it and renders again.
Script
A founder writes the idea or approves a draft. A second model checks the facts before anything is produced.
Voice
The voice-over is generated with a dedicated brand voice, in English or in French.
Animate
Storyboard and animation are generated scene by scene, in the visual style of each channel.
Review
Feedback is pinned to a timestamp. Each round costs about 25 cents and a few minutes.
Before and after.
Before How it worked
- 17 versions for our first reel
- Feedback lost in long message threads
- Days of work for one video
- A motion designer needed for every new format
After How it works now
- An approved script becomes a video in minutes
- Feedback pinned to the exact second
- Five videos produced in one day
- Three channels, three styles, one tool
Making a video became as cheap as writing a post. So we test ideas in video first.
The business impact.
- $0.70per edit, plus about $0.25 per round of feedback
- 5videos produced in a single day, in parallel
- 15videos produced in the first two weeks
- 3channels served by the same tool, each with its own style
